What is CMMC?

CMMC is the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification. This is a program by the US Department of Defense (DoD) aimed at improving cybersecurity throughout its supply chain. The DoD is beginning to require companies to obtain CMMC certification to be competitive for their contracting opportunities.  

Is CMMC Level 1 assessment applicable to me?

If you are hoping to contract with the DoD or want to achieve a higher-than-normal cybersecurity standard, then CMMC Level 1 assessment is applicable to you.  

How long does this program last?

The IEDC’s cybersecurity program will run until August 2025 or until the funding has run out.
